Although a common project delivery methodology across the globe, in the US, few design-build projects are architect-led, and even fewer of these projects are in the private commercial sector. The discussion focused on leveraging multi-disciplinary teams to harness value and optimising project results in line with budget and schedule.
The art and technology of buildings today are too complex for one person to be the ‘Master Builder’; instead, they require an integrated team operating as a single merged entity allowing for a focused purpose combining interests, knowledge and talents.
