Our work with DNB in New York is recognised as « Project of the Year » at CoreNet Global New York City Chapter‘s Corporate Real Estate Awards.
DNB is a 200-year-old Norwegian bank, but certainly anything but old fashioned. Overall, the New York office needed to celebrate its advanced approach to banking. DNB worked with us to create an engaging, technology-led environment. The design also celebrates cultural heritage with a personal touch.
The discovery process helped us meet DNB’s objectives. Markedly, through interviews, utilisation studies, surveys and social network analysis. This helped identify collaborators, team operations and behaviours to nurture. Additionally, the findings demonstrated the importance of wellness and sustainability. They helped guide the project to WELL Platinum & LEED Gold Certification.
Different settings encourage alternative ways of working and cross-pollination between teams. Equally, daylight, plants and natural materials support health, engagement and productivity.
A custom community app sits at the centre of the digital workplace experience. It supports culture building, social connections, space management, booking, wayfinding and more. Furthermore, key technology includes wireless connectivity, building systems, networks and sensors. All in all, the design carefully integrates the physical and digital workplace to support hybrid working.
