We’re excited to announce we’ve launched a significant sustainability initiative across our North American operations.
Originating from our Toronto living lab, our ‘green libraries’ are a collective effort. They’re dedicated to sustainable project materials, aiming to revolutionise client project development with eco-friendly resources.
These libraries equip our team with the knowledge and resources needed to support client projects with sustainable practices.
Chantal Frenette, Director, M Moser AssociatesThis initiative is part of our firm’s broader commitment to environmental responsibility. It involves establishing material libraries focused on sustainability at our North American living labs, including Toronto, Vancouver, New York, San Francisco and Denver.
The libraries include healthy, low Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) materials with Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) to help minimise environmental impact.
This program aligns with our key climate goals and targets, ensuring a smooth transition to sustainable practices for everyone involved.
In addition, we’re actively engaging with local vendors to promote sustainable materials. We’re also working to remove materials from our libraries that contain high VOC content, Red List chemicals, high embodied carbon, or PROP 65 warnings. By doing so, we aim to set a precedent for sustainable practices in our field.
This collaborative shift drives the use of sustainable materials, benefiting both the environment and client outcomes. Aligning with global sustainability goals, ESG targets and the WELL Building Standard, this project enhances operations while positively impacting the planet, our clients and our communities.
