Amway, a leading provider of health product solutions, is dedicated to ‘helping people live better, healthier lives’. With this vision, Amway sought to transform its Guangzhou workplace into a vibrant space that reflects the company’s values and brand appeal while promoting wellbeing.
To achieve this, we partnered with Amway and reimagined its four-storey office, creating a destination with health as a guiding principle. By incorporating work from local artists, the project encourages innovation and celebrates Amway’s brand story in a meaningful space for top talent and clients.
A core aspect of this project was to highlight innovation and brand identity. By working with local artists, we brought nature-inspired elements into the space.
The ‘Petal of Happiness’ art installation, inspired by Amway’s philosophy, serves as the visual centrepiece. The outward-growing leaves symbolise the company’s commitment to enhancing lives. This installation, together with the greenery we added into the environment, creates a cohesive narrative.
In the meditation area, designers created a unique wall featuring handcrafted micro-landscapes. This wall integrates the key botanicals Away uses in its products. By using miniature figures and plants, it showcases the brand’s natural elements while creating a tranquil atmosphere.
Our deep understanding of Amway’s culture and goals allowed us to shape a workspace that is not just comfortable but also deeply engaging for visitors and employees. Starting with the “Tree of Happiness” at the entrance, the space invites exploration and interaction, enhancing connection to nature from the moment people step into it.
We shifted from traditional, closed spaces to an open design that maximises flexibility and interaction. Intuitive pathways for employees and visitors ensure the office meets its functional needs efficiently.
Key functional areas such as the ‘Energy Greenhouse’, the ‘Restful Picnic’, and the ’Serene Pavilion’, encourage relaxation and social interaction, boosting creativity.
The entire project adheres to WELL standards. We chose recyclable and reusable furniture and flooring materials, with carpets made from recycled plastics. LED lighting, maximised natural light and the use of local materials contribute to a reduction in carbon emissions.
Additionally, we used soft curves and plenty of greenery to create a calming atmosphere. Natural, recyclable materials such as stone, plant walls and organic textiles enrich the space and align with Amway’s commitment to sustainability.
The layout features various work settings, including adjustable desks, collaborative zones and quiet areas. Inclusivity is considered through amenities like accessible restrooms and mother’s rooms, ensuring a supportive environment for all employees.
Amway’s new Guangzhou office transcends its role as a workplace. It demonstrates the company’s vision to inspire and create a healthy lifestyle for employees and clients. This dynamic workspace supports staff wellbeing and business objectives, representing Amway’s culture and connecting with its community.
