As a leading integrated securities firm, Changjiang Securities is committed to delivering prime investment services to its clients. To support rapid business expansion and a growing team, the company decided to relocate its workplace to a prominent financial hub in Shanghai. Inspired by our work for other leading firms, the client engaged us to create its new seven-floor office.
Changjiang Securities, Shanghai reshapes traditional work models to create a dynamic environment that embodies the company’s progressive and innovative ethos.
The new space breaks away from conventional finance offices, embracing a disruptive approach that challenges traditional expectations. This concept reflects the dynamic and forward-thinking identity of Changjiang Securities.
In response to the building’s architecture, we created an internal staircase and a ribbon art installation spanning seven floors. This symbolises “龙腾长江” (“The Dragon Soars Over the Yangtze”), a Chinese cultural motif representing strength, growth and prosperity.
Inspired by the company’s logo, the vibrant red ribbon creates a striking visual experience both inside and outside the building. Moreover, it adds a vivid colour to the Huangpu River skyline view, while reinforcing Changjiang Securities’ branding.
The project required meticulous attention to detail to address the staircase’s intricate geometry and ensure the flawless integration of the ribbon installation across seven floors. Additionally, the tight deadline required efficient coordination and execution from the outset.
To ensure the precise installation of the 260-metre ribbon, we employed 3D printing technology that verified dimensions and developed detailed models across all seven floors. This approach streamlined the construction process, reduced risks and provided clear guidance for all stakeholders.
Beyond its aesthetic appeal, the staircase and ribbon installation enhance vertical connectivity, supporting interaction and collaboration across floors. By integrating functionality with design, the space evolves into a dynamic community hub.
The new space features an open layout, replacing fixed workstations with shared work areas, booths, meeting rooms and phone pods to support a wide range of activities—from focused tasks to group discussions, formal meetings and training sessions.
All furniture is mobile, allowing the space to adapt to market changes and future growth. A standout feature is the creative workshop area on the 18th floor, equipped with modular box components to inspire innovation and collaboration.
The project brief emphasised the need for a workspace that prioritises health, sustainability and efficiency.
The new Changjiang Securities office redefines the traditional finance workspace, fostering innovation and transforming work practices. This dynamic environment empowers employees to reach their full potential, while reflecting the company’s identity and positioning it for future growth.
